Chocolate Oatmeal Atole

It is a delicious atole that is very healthy and above all, ¡super tasty!. Perfect for those cold days or for a very hearty breakfast. The chocolate oatmeal atole is a traditional homemade Mexican recipe. It is very easy to prepare.

  • 6 tablespoons oats
  • 1 chocolate, in tablet
  • 1 liter water
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 liters low-fat milk
  • 1 stick cinnamon

  • In a medium pot, add half a liter of water and the cinnamon and bring to a boil over medium-high heat while preparing the other ingredients.
  • In a strainer, place the oatmeal and rinse it a bit with water
  • Put the oatmeal in the blender with the other half liter of water and blend until well crushed.
  • Strain the mixture into the boiling water. Add the chocolate (preferably in pieces), and stir the mixture with a large spoon until the chocolate is well dissolved. Add sugar to your liking
  • Lower the heat and let it boil for 15 minutes without stopping stirring.
