Ginger and Anise Infusion

  • 2 star anise pods
  • 1/4 fresh ginger, peeled and sliced
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • lemon, slices, for decoration

  • Pour the water into a pot and heat it over medium-high heat until it boils. Once it has a small bubble, add the star anise and let it boil for 5 minutes.
  • Now infuse! Remove the pot from the heat, add the ginger, and cover it to keep it hot. Let the infusion rest for 10 minutes so the water extracts all the properties of this root.
  • Serve the ginger and anise infusion in a cup with a tablespoon of honey and a slice of yellow lemon, enjoy it warm!
