1 sheath tamarind pods
1/2 cups piloncillo
1 clove
1 star anise pod
1 1/2 liters water

Wash the guavas and tamarind.
Wash the piloncillo with water to remove impurities.
Place the water in a pot over the heat and add all the ingredients.
When it starts to boil, let it cook on low heat for 15 minutes, then turn off and let the infusion rest for 5 more minutes covered.
Strain and serve hot.
