Mint and Chamomile Infusion

Mint is beneficial for relieving menstrual cramps, as it has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects that inhibit pain receptors. So if the cramps are unbearable, try this mint and chamomile infusion for cramps!

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 sprigs spearmint
  • 2 chamomile flowers
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric, in powder
  • 1/2 cinnamon sticks

  • 1 teaspoon honey, to accompany

  • Remove the skin from the ginger with a knife or peeler, then slice and set aside.
  • Boil water in a pot, and once it reaches a small bubble, add the mint, chamomile flowers, ginger, turmeric powder, and cinnamon. Keep the infusion over medium heat for at least 8 minutes.
  • Strain the mint and chamomile infusion and serve immediately. Accompany with a tablespoon of honey and chamomile flowers.
