Traditional Horchata

  • 1 cup Rice Flour Three Stars®
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick, halved
  • cinnamon powder, for decoration
  • walnuts, chopped, for decoration

  • Blend the cup of Tres Estrellas® Rice Flour with the milk, sugar, and vanilla essence until fully combined. Set aside.
  • Boil the water in a pot, and once it has a high bubble, add the blended mixture and integrate very well. Then, add the cinnamon stick and keep at temperature until it thickens slightly, for about 8 minutes. Once ready, remove the cinnamon from the preparation and set the hot horchata aside.
  • Serve the traditional horchata in a cup and decorate with powdered cinnamon and nuts.
