The margarita is a classic cocktail of Mexican cuisine. It is a refreshing drink with tamarind and tequila, very traditional on the beaches of our country. The easy tamarind margarita recipe is very simple to make.
1/2 jars Cocina Mestiza® sweet and sour tamarind sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cups Tequila
4 cups ice cubes
water, to taste
lemons, to taste (for rimming the glass)
chile powder, to taste (for rimming the glass)

Prepare the glasses: rub half a lemon around the rim of the glasses. On a flat plate, spread the chili piquín or salt. Place the glass upside down on the chili or salt to frost the rim.
To prepare the margarita: Add all the ingredients and only 2 cups of ice to the blender and blend. If necessary, add water little by little to help the ingredients blend. Add the rest of the ice, blend, and taste to adjust the amount of sugar, lemon, or tequila to your liking.
