Milk and Egg Smoothie

The milk and egg smoothie is ideal for the breakfast of babies 11 months and older and children.

  • 5 ounces cow's milk , strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon corn flakes, infant Gerber or Nestum, in the flavor your child likes best

  • In a pot, bring the milk to a boil; when it starts to boil, remove it from the heat and set aside.
  • In the blender, add the yolk, sugar, and cereal, blend, and without turning off the blender, open the small lid in the center of the top and carefully add the very hot milk, cover and turn off.
  • Serve in a cup or bottle and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes to lower the temperature of the milk to prevent burns, this will allow the foam of the smoothie to settle.
