3 liters water

In a small pot over medium heat, heat 3 cups of water and add the tamarinds, cook for 10 minutes or until they are soft.
Clean the tamarinds, remove the seeds, extract the pulp, and set aside.
Mix the pulp with the rest of the water, sweeten with sugar to your liking.
Add ice and enjoy.
