Sangrita

Sangrita is the classic accompaniment for tequila. It is served in small glasses and pairs perfectly with good tequila.

  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons onion, finely chopped
  • 2 ancho chiles, stemmed and seedless
  • lemon juice , of just one

  • Soak the chiles in hot water for 20 minutes. Drain.
  • Put the chiles, onion, orange juice, lime juice, and salt to taste in the food processor.
  • Process until finely ground.
