Watermelon and Cucumber Chamoyada

Watermelon and cucumber are two fresh ingredients that combine perfectly to make a delicious chamoyada, ideal for refreshing yourself from the heat and very easy to prepare with the special touch of Domino® Mascabado Sugar.

  • 1/2 cups Domino® raw sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups watermelon, cut into cubes and frozen for 12 hours
  • 1 1/2 cups cucumber, cut into cubes and frozen for 12 hours
  • 5 leaves basil
  • 1/2 cups lime juice
  • 1/4 cups chamoy
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons Domino® raw sugar
  • 1 tablespoon spearmint, dry
  • watermelon, in slices, for decoration

  • Blend the frozen fruits with the basil leaves, lemon juice, and Domino® Mascabado Sugar. Set aside in the freezer.
  • To rim the glass, in a mortar mix the Domino® Mascabado Sugar with salt and mint and grind with the pestle until it forms a powder. Wet the glass with lemon juice and then dip it into the powder you made.
  • Serve the fruit mixture interspersed with the liquid chamoy to form layers. Garnish with watermelon, cucumber, and mint.
