Banana and Blackberry Bread

The traditional banana bread in this recipe gets a twist by adding blackberries to make it a little different and much tastier.

  • 1/2 cups unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 cups blueberries, dehydrated
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 1/2 bananas, crushed
  • 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups flour

  • Preheat the oven to 175ºC. Grease the pan.
  • Beat the butter with the sugar. Once well combined and the butter is creamy, add the eggs (one at a time).
  • Add the banana, vanilla, and cream. Mix well and add the baking powder, flour, and salt.
  • Finally, add the blackberries (just to mix).
  • Pour the mixture into the loaf pan.
  • Bake for about 1 hour until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool slightly and then unmold.
