Homemade Slicing Bread

Delicious homemade bread perfect for slicing and being accompanied with jam or butter and a cup of coffee or tea. Just to start your day, a small sandwich before a strong breakfast.

  • 1 kilo whole-wheat flour
  • 20 grams salt
  • 3 tablespoons yeast
  • 50 grams sunflower seeds
  • 20 grams flaxseed, and sesame
  • 100 milliliters olive oil
  • 620 milliliters water

  • The way in which the ingredients are accommodated is important; Inside a large bowl, the first thing you arrange is the flour, in a type of donut.
  • You add salt and oil to the center. Then the yeast, seeds and flaxseed are added equitably around the bowl on the flour.
  • Once all the ingredients are added, the water is added little by little and the mixture begins to be mixed with the hand until a good consistency is obtained, this process can last about 4 or 5 min.
  • Once obtained a ball of dough is put a little flour, to avoid sticking everywhere, continue kneading until you can dip your fingers and the dough returns to its original position.
  • It is weighed and divided into three.
  • You take one of the three parts and you give it a tortilla shape crushing and looking for the same thickness of the dough everywhere.
  • The tortilla is rolled up little by little evenly, joining the dough in each small turn.
  • Oil is added to the tray and oil is added to the bread to avoid sticking, let it rest a few minutes before putting it in the oven.
  • Preheat the oven to 240ºC, once hot put the dough and leave it in 30 min. once the 30 min. the oven is turned off and you wait a few minutes to regulate the temperature and you have a delicious homemade bread ready.
