Doll Bread

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cups butter
  • 5 grams yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon orange zest
  • 1 egg yolk, for brushing

  • Add to the mixer the flour, butter, yeast, salt, sugar, milk, eggs, and beat until you have a homogeneous dough. Add the orange zest and beat until incorporated. Then let it rest for 15 minutes to ferment.
  • On a floured table, form small rolls and with the help of your hands, shape the bunnies: press, cut the bottom part to simulate the legs and the sides to simulate the arms, to form the dolls.
  • Place on a baking tray, brush the bread with the egg yolk, and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Serve and enjoy with coffee.
