  • Preheat the oven to 170°C.
  • Hydrate the yeast with the warm milk. Let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • For the dough, in a mixer, beat the flour with the sugar, salt, milk with yeast, eggs, vanilla essence, orange zest, and knead until you have a firm and elastic consistency.
  • Add the butter, walnuts, and beat until well incorporated. Place the dough in a previously greased bowl and cover with cling film. Let it rise for 2 hours or until it doubles in volume.
  • For the crust, beat the flour with the powdered sugar and butter until you have a firm dough. Refrigerate.
  • On a floured surface, remove excess air from the dough and with the help of your hands, shape it into a strip. Join the ends to form a ring.
  • Insert the plastic figurines from the bottom and transfer the ring to a baking tray, let it rise for 20 more minutes.
  • With the help of your hands, form the sugar crust with the dough you refrigerated. Glaze the ring with egg yolk and place the crust on top, alternating with the almonds. Be careful to leave spaces between the almonds and the crust for the final decoration.
  • Bake the ring for about 20 minutes or until cooked. Remove and cool.
  • Melt 8 chocolate bunnies in the microwave in 30-second intervals. Cover the spaces of the ring with the melted chocolate and stick the rest of the bunnies on top. Let it dry.
  • Decorate with melted white chocolate, let it dry, and enjoy.
