Low-Carb Bread

This low-carb bread recipe is ideal for enjoying while taking care of yourself, as it is made with San Juan® Egg Whites and chickpea flour. This low bread is easy to prepare and very delicious, perfect for eating as a sandwich or with jam.

  • 2 cups chickpea flour, sifted, 250 g
  • 1 teaspoon yeast, powdered, 4 g
  • 1 teaspoon pink salt, ground, 7 g
  • 1 teaspoon honey, 4 g
  • 1 cup sunflower oil, 250 ml
  • 1/2 cups water, 125 ml
  • 1/2 cups San Juan® egg whites, 125 ml

  • Preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  • Mix the chickpea flour, baking powder, and sea salt in a large bowl until fully combined.
  • Make a well in the center of the bowl with the flour mixture and add the honey, sunflower oil, water, and San Juan® Egg Whites. Mix all the ingredients with a wooden spoon until a smooth dough forms and the ingredients are fully integrated. Set aside.
  • Pour the dough into a previously greased loaf pan and bake at 200 °C for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the low-carb bread from the oven and let it cool. When the bread is cold, cut into 1 cm slices and place on a wooden board, and accompany with sugar-free jam, honey, etc.
