Polloclaus Empanadas

Recipe for delicious Polloclaus Empanadas. These empanadas are filled with chicken and nuts; this combination is very rich with a sweet touch.

  • 250 grams wheat flour
  • 100 grams butter
  • 100 milliliters water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 kilo chicken breast, cooked and diced
  • 1 cup dried fruit, chopped (blueberries, walnuts, raisins, pineapples, peaches, apples, etc.),
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 pinch salt, and pepper

  • Filling procedure: Sauté the chicken in oil, add the chopped nuts to the cooking, add the cream and cook for five minutes, season with salt and pepper. Once well mixed, set the filling aside.
  • We mix all the dry ingredients for the dough and stir, add 100 ml of water and knead. Form a ball with the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes. Sprinkle flour on the work surface and roll out the dough on both sides; once rolled out, cut into circles with a mold, fill the circles with the previously prepared filling, and close them to form empanadas. Seal the edge of the empanada with a fork, poke the center of the empanada with a fork to release the air and prevent the empanada from opening, place on a greased baking sheet and put in the preheated oven at 180 degrees. After 25 minutes of cooking, remove from the oven. Wait for them to cool slightly and enjoy.
