  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  • For the dough, mix the yeast with the milk and let it rest for 10 minutes to hydrate.
  • In a mixing bowl, place the flour, sugar, egg, salt, milk with yeast, and start mixing until you achieve a homogeneous consistency.
  • Add the butter and continue kneading with the mixer until incorporated. Place the dough in a previously greased bowl and let it ferment for one hour, or until it doubles in size.
  • On a cutting board, dice the Gala Washington® apples into small cubes.
  • For the filling, in a skillet, pour in the butter and cook the Gala Washington® apples with cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, ginger, rum, and sugar for 15 minutes, or until the apples are soft. Let cool.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the dough using a rolling pin, add the filling, the nuts, and roll it up. With the help of a knife, cut the rolls into 2 cm thick pieces. Place them on a baking tray and let them ferment for another 20 minutes.
  • Brush the rolls with egg and bake for 20 minutes at 180 °C.
  • Place the rolls in a gift box and enjoy.
