A simple and easy recipe for delicious flour tortillas. This dough is ideal for tasty burritos or quesadillas with Manchego cheese. The taco dough is a simplified version of a flour tortilla recipe. Enjoy!
Form a well with the flour and salt in a large bowl (it is recommended to sift it for easier handling)
Gradually add the water in small amounts. (Take your time doing this; it helps prevent lumps and achieve a smooth dough)
Remove the dough from the bowl and knead until you achieve a smooth dough
Let rest in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
Take the dough out of the refrigerator and wait for it to lose some of its chill. Then, make small balls with the dough and roll each one with a rolling pin to form the tortillas. (You can also roll out the entire dough and cut it with a cutter of your desired size)
Heat a skillet with a little oil (this is sufficient to prevent the tortillas from sticking). Cook the tortillas, browning them on both sides.
