Whole Wheat Tortilla

A delicious tortilla made from whole wheat flour, perfect for almost any dish. You can cut and toast it to accompany a delicious guacamole or ceviche, and you can also use it to make quesadillas or wraps.

  • 1/2 kilos whole-wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 50 milliliters olive oil
  • 500 milliliters water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yeast

  • In a bowl, place half a kilo of flour, arranging it like a donut, so that you can add the oil and salt in the center. Around it, add the yeast.
  • Gradually mix and add water, ensuring that a dough with a good consistency is formed.
  • After mixing the ingredients and obtaining a dough, add a little more flour to prevent sticking and continue kneading until, when you press the dough with your fingers, it returns to its original shape on its own (there is no need to press it hard).
  • Let the dough rest for a few minutes and then divide it into pieces weighing 70 or 80 grams each.
  • Place the dough on a surface with a little flour and use a rolling pin to knead it until you achieve the desired thickness and shape.
  • On a hot griddle or skillet, place the tortillas until they do not stick and before they brown. Now you have some very tasty whole wheat tortillas.
