Fried Sandwich

  • 8 slices sandwich bread
  • 1/4 cups mayonnaise
  • 8 slices deli ham, or turkey
  • 4 slices Manchego cheese
  • 1 cup Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cups liquid yellow cheese, ideal for nachos
  • 3 eggs, beaten, for the batter
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs, for breading
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • mix of vegetables, celery, carrot, cucumber; for serving

  • Spread a slice of white bread with mayonnaise, covering the entire surface.
  • Add sliced ham, manchego cheese, gouda cheese, and liquid yellow cheese to taste. Then, place a second slice of bread and seal the sandwich well with toothpicks to prevent it from moving.
  • Cover the bread with egg and sprinkle with breadcrumbs, ensuring the sides are completely coated. Press with your hands to ensure the bread sticks to the sandwich.
  • Fry the sandwich in a pan with enough hot oil until it is nicely golden brown. Once ready, drain the fried sandwich on paper towels and remove the toothpicks.
  • Cut the fried sandwich immediately, serve hot, and accompany with a mix of vegetables.
