Dinosaur Eggs

These delicious dinosaur eggs are a colorful snack that will surprise all your guests, especially the little ones at home. They are super fun, easy to make, and also work as a different breakfast.

  • 12 San Juan® eggs
  • water
  • red food coloring
  • green food coloring
  • yellow food coloring
  • blue food coloring
  • orange food coloring
  • white vinegar

  • In a pot of boiling water, cook the 12 pieces of San Juan® Eggs for 12 minutes. Remove from the water and let them cool completely.
  • When the San Juan® Eggs are cool, gently tap the shell to crack it without removing it, and with the help of your hand, press the San Juan® Egg while turning it to continue cracking the shell without removing it.
  • Pour different colored dyes into bags, respectively, and also add vinegar to set the color on the eggs; place the San Juan® Eggs with the cracked shells and mix by moving outside the bag to ensure the entire egg gets filled with color, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse the egg and carefully remove the shell without breaking the egg.
  • Serve in a decorated basket and enjoy.
