Easy Neapolitan Hot Cakes

  • 1 tablespoon Rexal® baking powder , 15 g
  • 2 cups flour , 400 g, previously sifted
  • 1 teaspoon salt , 7 g
  • 1/2 teaspoons baking soda, 3 g
  • 1/4 cups sugar , 50 g
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon D´Gari® vanilla essence, 7 ml
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter , melted, 45 ml
  • 1/4 cups milk , 62 ml
  • 1/4 cups D´Gari® vanilla flavor syrup, 62 ml
  • 1/4 cups D´Gari® strawberry flavor syrup, 62 ml
  • 1/4 cups D'Gari® chocolate syrup, 62 ml
  • unsalted butter , for the hot cakes
  • yogurt ice cream, for serving
  • colorful button-shaped chocolates, for decorating

  • In a bowl, mix the flour with the salt, REXAL® baking powder, baking soda, sugar, eggs, D’Gari® liquid vanilla, butter, and milk until fully combined and a lump-free mixture is obtained.
  • Divide the mixture into three bowls, color and flavor the mixtures with D’Gari® vanilla syrup, D’Gari® strawberry syrup, and D’Gari® chocolate syrup, respectively, until the ingredients are combined.
  • Melt butter in a non-stick skillet of your choice, pour the vanilla mixture using a ladle making sure to cover the entire diameter, cook over low heat until bubbles begin to form, flip with a spatula and cook for a few more minutes. Cover the skillet for more even cooking. Repeat with each color until all the batter is used.
  • Serve one hot cake of each color, accompany with yogurt ice cream and candies.
