1/2 cups oats, ground
1/2 cups flour , (white or whole wheat)
1 egg
3/4 cups cow's milk
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sugar , (or splenda)
2 tablespoons oil , (olive or vegetable)
1 tablespoon liquid vanilla

All dry ingredients (oats, flour, sugar, and baking powder) are combined.
The oil, vanilla, and milk are added to the dry ingredients.
The egg is added.
Everything is whisked together very well with a whisk.
Once well mixed, a little oil (just enough to prevent sticking) is put in a pan or griddle, and the excess is wiped off with a napkin.
The mixture is poured into the pan and cooked for about 3 minutes on each side.
