Peach Pancakes

These pancakes have peach halves on top, giving them a completely different and delicious touch. I love them for a change from the usual. They are served with maple syrup. Ideal for Sundays.

1 egg
1 cup sour cream
3 tablespoons cow's milk
1/4 teaspoons vanilla essence
2 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoons cinnamon, (optional)
1 pinch nutmeg, (optional)
3/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 peach, in slices
butter, as needed

Beat the egg with the sour cream, sugar, vanilla, and egg.
In another bowl, stir together the salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, flour, baking powder, and baking soda.
Mix the dry ingredients with the sour cream. If the mixture is too thick, add milk, one tablespoon at a time.
Heat a large skillet and add a little butter.
Place the pancake batter and top each pancake with 2 slices of peach half.
When bubbles form (after 3-4 minutes), flip and let brown for 5 minutes.
Serve hot.
