Perfect Soft-Boiled Eggs

  • In a small pot, put 1 1/2 cups of water (enough to cover the egg) and bring to a boil.
  • Add the egg to the water, cover the pot, and remove from heat.
  • Leave the pot covered for 4-6 minutes, depending on how cooked you like your egg.
  • After 5 minutes (6 minutes for a more cooked egg), run the egg under cold water to stop the cooking process.
  • Cut off the top of the egg, serve it in an egg cup, and enjoy with toasted bread strips.
