In a small pot, put 1 and a half cups of water (enough to cover the entire egg) and bring it to a boil.
Add the egg to the water, cover the pot, and remove from heat.
Leave the pot covered for 4-6 minutes, depending on how cooked you like your egg.
After 5 minutes (6 minutes for a more cooked egg), run the egg under cold water to stop the cooking process.
Cut the top off the egg, serve it in an egg cup, and enjoy with toasted bread strips.
