Place the bacon on a plate with a paper towel to absorb the fat, cover it with another towel, and microwave for 2 minutes, just to release some of the fat.
Let them cool and wrap them around each filet medallion, securing with a toothpick. Season the filets with salt and pepper.
Heat a skillet over medium heat and when hot, add 1 tablespoon of butter and sear the filets on both sides until they are slightly browned and have good color.
Preheat the oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
Place the steaks on a baking sheet and right before you are ready to eat, put them in the oven for a few minutes until they reach the desired doneness. Monitor them constantly to avoid overcooking.
Let rest for 5 minutes covered with aluminum foil and serve.
