Bacon-Wrapped Filet Mignon

This meat steak is wrapped in bacon and turns out very juicy. It can be ready in less than 20 minutes.

  • 4 filet mignon
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices bacon
  • butter, for frying

  • Place the bacon on a plate with a paper towel to absorb the fat, cover it with another towel, and microwave for 2 minutes, just to release some of the fat.
  • Let them cool and wrap them around each filet medallion, securing with a toothpick. Season the filets with salt and pepper.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and when hot, add 1 tablespoon of butter and sear the filets on both sides until they are slightly browned and have good color.
  • Preheat the oven to 400ºF (200ºC).
  • Place the steaks on a baking sheet and right before you are ready to eat, put them in the oven for a few minutes until they reach the desired doneness. Monitor them constantly to avoid overcooking.
  • Let rest for 5 minutes covered with aluminum foil and serve.
