Beef Patties in Green Sauce

Delicious recipe for traditional beef patties in green sauce made with tomatoes, cilantro, and a spicy touch of morita chili. The best part is that we made this recipe healthier to keep in shape. Try it.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, cold-pressed
  • 3 cloves garlic, cut into thirds, for sauce
  • 1 white onion, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 bunches fresh cilantro, for sauce
  • 2 morita chiles, for sauce
  • 1 pinch salt, for sauce
  • 1 pinch cumin, for sauce
  • 1 kilo tomatillo, cut into quarters
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • 3 cups beef, cooked and shredded
  • 2 eggs, batter
  • 1 cup flour, coconut
  • 1/4 cups coconut oil

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with olive oil and cook the garlic and white onion until they become transparent. Add the cilantro with the stem, the morita chili, season with salt and cumin, add the tomatillo, and cook for 10 minutes.
  • Incorporate the vegetable broth, let it come to a boil, and cook for 10 more minutes. Remove from heat, cool, and blend perfectly.
  • In a bowl, combine the shredded meat with the egg and coconut flour. Form well-compressed patties and set aside.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat, add coconut oil, and fry the patties until golden. Drain on paper towels and serve with the sauce.
