Beef Patties in Guajillo Sauce

Try these delicious shredded beef patties, covered in egg and fried, served with a spicy red sauce with guajillo pepper; these patties are perfect for serving to your family at mealtime. Prepare them!

  • 2 liters water
  • 1/8 onions, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 kilos skirt steak
  • 1 pinch salt, for the meat
  • 3 eggs, separated into egg whites and yolk
  • 1 pinch flour
  • vegetable oil
  • 1/4 white onions, for the sauce
  • 4 guajillo chiles, roasted, cleaned, and hydrated, for sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, roasted, for the sauce
  • 2 Del Fuerte® seasoned tomato sauce, (210 gr each) for the sauce
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 onions, sliced

  • Cook the flank steak in a pressure cooker with water, salt, onion, and garlic for about 30 minutes or until tender. Cool and shred with the help of two forks.
  • Whip the egg whites until fluffy, add a pinch of flour. Gradually add the yolks while continuing to beat, until you obtain a fluffy mixture.
  • Incorporate the meat with folding movements. Heat a skillet over medium heat with oil, form patties and fry for about 5 minutes. Remove excess fat and set aside.
  • For the sauce, blend the onion with the guajillo pepper, garlic, the Del Fuerte® Seasoned Tomato Puree, and a little salt.
  • Heat a skillet over medium heat with oil, fry the onion and sauce, add the patties and cook for a few more minutes, adjust seasoning and serve immediately.
