Economical and Quick Empanadas

  • 1/2 kilos vegetable shortening
  • 1 beer, gradually

  • Sift flour into a bowl.
  • Add lard and begin to knead.
  • Incorporate the beer gradually until the dough is unified and let it rest.
  • Preheat the oven to 175°C.
  • Roll out the dough and cut out circles of the desired size.
  • Sauté the finely chopped onion until transparent, add the olives and the meat. Once the meat is well cooked, remove from heat.
  • Fill the dough circles with the meat and close each empanada.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and serve.
