Easy Picadillo

Try this easy picadillo recipe; it has a delicious flavor, and the raisins and acitrón give it a sweet touch that the whole family will love.

  • 1 container tomato purée
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons onion, chopped
  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 1 potato, cut into cubes
  • 1 carrot, cut into cubes
  • 1 leaf bay
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1/2 cups acitrón, in cubes

  • Heat the oil in a pot and sauté the onion.
  • Add the potatoes, carrots, raisins, and acitrón. Fry for 2 minutes.
  • Seal the ground meat until it turns a slightly golden color and separates well.
  • Blend the tomato with the water and garlic. Strain and pour into the pot with the meat.
  • Add the tomato puree.
  • Let it cook for 10 more minutes on low heat with the bay leaf.
  • Serve.
