Beef Tenderloin Roll with Wine and Shallots with Knorr®

  • 2 tablespoons Knorr® beef bouillon
  • 4 shallots, sliced thinly
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 1 cup water
  • 750 grams beef
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • pepper, to taste

  • In a medium pot, sauté the shallots with 2 tablespoons of olive oil until caramelized (5 minutes).
  • Add the red wine and let it boil until it reduces by half. Add the water, the beef broth, and allow it to reduce again by half.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Lower the heat and keep the sauce warm.
  • Cover the beef tenderloin with the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Prepare a skillet and cook the steak for 5 minutes on each side to seal it on the outside and keep it red on the inside.
  • Remove from the skillet, cover with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  • Cut into thick medallions and serve with the wine sauce.
