Meatloaf with Potatoes

  • 1 liter whole milk, Santa Clara®
  • 500 grams ground meat, beef
  • 250 grams ground meat, pork
  • 1/2 cups peas, cooked
  • 1/4 cups carrot, cut into medium cubes and cooked
  • 1/2 onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 potatoes, white
  • 300 grams bacon, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoons pepper
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons ground pepper
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • Preheat the oven to 190°c.
  • Peel the potatoes and slice them thinly, cook them in a pot over low heat with the milk for 10 minutes, after the time is up, remove them from the milk and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic and onion, once they are golden, add the beef and pork. Cook lightly, making sure the meat doesn't lose too much juice, season with salt and pepper, and add the carrot and peas, set aside.
  • Line a loaf pan with the slices of bacon, once covered, add the meat you cooked, arrange the potatoes all over the bottom of the pan. Finish covering all of this with bacon. Cover with aluminum foil and place in the oven for approximately 25 minutes.
  • After this time, remove the preparation from the oven, take off the aluminum foil.
  • Return the preparation to the oven on the tray so that the bacon browns for another 10 minutes.
  • To serve: Slice and serve with bread and more steamed vegetables.
