Milanesas Alegría

The classic milanesa with a delicious twist as it is filled with vegetables and cheese, making the eating moment more interesting. It is a way to integrate vegetables into children's meals and to break the routine by preparing something exquisite.

  • 4 beefs for milanesa
  • 1/2 liters cow's milk
  • 1/4 onions
  • 1 garlic
  • pepper , and salt
  • 1/4 kilos Manchego cheese, chopped or shredded Oaxaca cheese
  • 2 cups spinach, cooked
  • 2 cups vegetables, cooked (carrot, peas, potato, corn)
  • 2 cups ground bread, (wheat bran, oats, and ground peanuts in a processor)
  • 2 eggs , battered and seasoned
  • 1 cup wheat flour, or rice

  • Blend the milk, garlic, onion, pepper, and salt and set aside. Marinate the milanesa for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Place the milanesa on a plate or tray, fill with vegetables and cheese. Fold in half (like a quesadilla) and secure with 2 toothpicks.
  • Dust the milanesa with flour, then dip in egg, and finally coat with the breading.
  • Lightly brown the milanesa in a pan and it's ready!
