Economical Meatballs

Meatballs are a delicious homemade dish. They are very easy to prepare and have a rich flavor that everyone at home will surely love. The tomato and ancho chili sauce gives them a unique touch, don’t wait any longer and try them.

  • 1/4 kilos ground beef
  • 1/4 kilos ground pork
  • 1/2 cups cow's milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 onion
  • 10 leaves mint leaf , finely chopped
  • 2 allspice berries
  • 1 pinch cumin powder
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 ancho chile
  • oil
  • salt
  • 3 cups water

  • Mix the meat with the milk, half a chopped onion, mint, breadcrumbs, salt, cumin, and eggs; form small balls.
  • Roast, seed, and soak the ancho chili.
  • Roast the tomato, remove the skin, and blend it with half an onion, garlic, chili, and pepper.
  • In a pot with a little oil, fry the previous mixture and season.
  • Add 3 cups of water, and when it starts to boil, add the meatballs and cook for about 20 minutes or until the meatballs are well cooked.
