Grandma's Meatballs

Delight your family with this traditional meatball recipe. This is how my grandma made them, and I remember they were a sensation at home. They are super quick to make and delicious.

  • 1.5 kilos ground beef
  • granulated chicken bouillon
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 onion, medium
  • 2 tablespoons rice, cooked
  • spice blend, oregano, thyme, etc.
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 8 tomatoes
  • 1/4 onions
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 clove garlic

  • In a bowl, mix the ground meat, eggs, onion, and finely chopped parsley, along with the cooked rice. Season with salt and pepper and add herbs.
  • Cook the tomatoes. Once ready, blend them with a piece of onion and a clove of garlic. Strain the mixture into a pot, add water, and let it simmer on low heat until it boils. Season with chicken or vegetable bouillon powder.
  • Form balls of your desired size with your hands, place them on a plate.
  • Place the meatballs in the pot with tomato sauce. Let them cook for about 10 minutes.
  • Serve with white rice.
