House Meatballs

This recipe is a delicious dish of house meatballs for you to enjoy with your whole family. Prepare this traditional dish and pair it with fresh waters, whether horchata, lemon, or hibiscus; and also add tortillas.

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onions, small finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1/3 cups hot sauce
  • 1/4 cups white rice
  • mint leaves, fresh
  • salt
  • water
  • 750 grams sirloin, ground
  • 2 tomatoes, ripe finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons onion, minced
  • 1 egg white
  • pepper
  • 4 sprigs mint leaf

  • Sauté the onion and garlic in a large pot over medium-high heat with a little olive oil.
  • When the onion has crystallized, add the ranch sauce, water, rice, mint, and salt.
  • Heat until boiling.
  • Meanwhile, combine the ground meat with the tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of onion, egg white, mint, salt, and pepper.
  • Form balls and place them in the pot with the boiling liquid.
  • Reduce the heat, cover, and cook on low for 30 minutes or until the meat is cooked and the rice is tender.
