Beef Tacos in Tomato Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 455 grams beef, beef pulp
  • 175 milliliters tomato purée
  • 300 milliliters beef broth
  • 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cloves garlic, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon chile powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • salt
  • 2 serrano chiles, seedless and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • tortillas, corn or flour

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the meat until browned.
  • Remove excess fat.
  • Add the tomatillo paste, beef broth, and water.
  • Season with garlic, chili powder, cumin, pepper, salt, and serrano peppers.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for 8 to 12 hours.
  • The longer it cooks, the more tender it will become.
  • Once the meat is ready, dissolve the cornstarch in a small amount of water and add it to the pan with the meat, cooking until the broth thickens, about 5 minutes.
  • Once ready, add the meat to the tortillas and enjoy your delicious tacos.
