This beef steak recipe features a jalapeño sauce cooked with white wine. The steak is first seared in a pan and finished in the oven. It’s perfect for a dinner with many guests as you can quickly cook a large quantity.
Sear the steak in half of the oil and butter, set aside. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
Add the rest of the oil and butter and sauté the chopped garlic and jalapeño pepper. Add the flour and let it cook for a minute. Add the tomato and cumin, let it cook for a minute and then add the white wine, letting it simmer for a few minutes.
Add the beef broth and let the sauce reduce. Add the chopped cilantro.
Slice the steak and place it in a Pyrex dish closely (following the shape of the steak). Bake for 20 minutes.
Place on a platter and drizzle with the hot jalapeño sauce.
