Taquitos Altamira

This Altamira taco recipe features handmade tortillas drenched in sauce, filled with cheese, and accompanied by arrachera.

  • 1 kilo dough
  • 1/2 kilos masa harina
  • 4 cups water
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 4 serrano chiles
  • 1 cube granulated chicken bouillon
  • 1 cheese, for crumbling
  • 1 romaine lettuce
  • 1/4 cream , natural
  • 1/2 kilos skirt steak, marinated
  • 1 avocado
  • salt , to taste

  • In a bowl, place the dough and pour the maseca with water, mixing until a soft and workable dough forms. With the help of your tortilla press, form medium-sized tortillas and place them on a hot griddle until they puff up. Remove and place them on a napkin.
  • For the sauce, chop and pour into a pan with oil the tomatoes, serrano chiles, and a quarter of an onion. Fry them until the tomato starts to peel. Remove and pour into the blender with 1 cup of water, salt, and the Knorr Suiza cube. Blend on high for 1 minute while frying the marinated arrachera in a skillet until it reaches the desired doneness.
  • To finish, place 4 tortillas on a plate, fold them, and fill them with crumbled cheese. Once filled, pour abundant sauce over them, place a piece of arrachera on one side, and garnish with chopped lettuce, tomato, onion, and avocado. Drizzle with cream and cheese to taste on top, and enjoy.
