Beer Ribs

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 bottle beer, stout type
  • 1/2 cups soy sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 cup raw sugar
  • 1 kilo pork ribs, with fat
  • salt
  • pepper
  • new potatoes, sautéed
  • ear corn, yellow

  • Heat in a small pot over low heat, add the butter and garlic, and heat for 5 minutes until the garlic begins to brown; pour in the beer, soy sauce, ketchup, and brown sugar. Cook for 5 minutes or until the glaze thickens.
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  • Season the ribs with salt and pepper, and sear them in a pan over high heat for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and transfer to a baking dish.
  • Glaze the ribs placed in the baking dish and cover, bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes until they are perfectly cooked, tender, and golden. Don’t forget to baste the ribs occasionally for an even and intense browning.
  • Serve the ribs with potatoes and corn on a platter. You can accompany them with your favorite sauces or dressings.
