Boil the chicken in water with onion and spices. Remove the chicken once it is very tender.
Cut the potatoes and carrots into small cubes. Cook them in water until they are soft.
Shred the chicken into strips and combine the chicken, carrot, potato, and peas in a large dish.
Add the 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and a bit of the chicken broth to integrate well.
Serve.
