Chicken Tacos in Tomatillas

Chicken recipes are undoubtedly one of the favorites among Mexicans. But since chicken is an ingredient that can be combined with anything, we prepared this recipe for Chicken Tacos in Tomatillas, a healthy and delicious dish. These chicken tacos are the best option when you're in a hurry or for an afternoon snack. What makes them richer and healthier is that they are served on a natural tomato tortilla.

  • 3 Tomatillas®
  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1/2 cups tomatillo, diced
  • 1/2 cups red onion, diced
  • 1/2 avocados, diced
  • 50 grams panela cheese , grated
  • fresh cilantro, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, with chipotle
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 serrano chile
  • 1 lemon

  • Grill the chicken on a griddle with a drizzle of olive oil for 3 minutes on each side; then cut it into strips.
  • Finely chop the tomato, red onion, and avocado into cubes; grate the panela cheese and chop the cilantro.
  • Heat the Tomatillas on a comal.
  • Immediately serve the chicken strips over the Tomatillas and add the diced vegetables.
  • Add lemon, chipotle mayonnaise, and serrano chili to taste.
