Chicken Breasts in Pickling Sauce

I present a recipe that has been passed down through generations in my family, pickled chicken. Previously, vinegar was used as a way to preserve food longer; now we use it for its rich flavor.

  • 6 chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bay
  • 4 garlic
  • 1 carrot
  • pepper, to taste
  • vinegars, to taste
  • olive oil , to taste
  • salt , to taste

  • Sauté the onion, carrot, garlic, bay leaf, and pepper in a pot with a little oil.
  • Add the chicken and season with salt and pepper; once it changes color, add the vinegar and more olive oil. Cook for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, and once cooled, place the pot in the refrigerator and let it sit overnight. Serve cold.
