Chicken Gyro

Try this delicious chicken gyro with a rich combination of tzatziki sauce, cucumber, tomato, and delicious Arla Apetina® classic brine cubes that everyone will love. In addition to being easy and quick, it’s perfect for any time of the day. Go ahead and make it!

  • 1 kilo chicken breast, in strips
  • 1/2 cups olive oil, to marinate the chicken
  • 1/4 cups lime juice, to marinate the chicken
  • salt, to marinate the chicken
  • pepper, to marinate the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon paprika, to marinate the chicken
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, to marinate the chicken
  • 1 cup cucumber, in small cubes, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, finely chopped, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, finely chopped, for the tzatziki sauce
  • salt, for the tzatziki sauce
  • 4 pita breads
  • Romaine lettuce, chopped
  • tomato, sliced
  • cucumber, sliced with skin on
  • red onion, sliced
  • Arla Apetina® classic cubes in brine

  • To marinate the chicken: add the chicken, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper, paprika, and oregano in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon. Cover with plastic wrap and let marinate for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Place the marinated chicken in a skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  • For the tzatziki sauce: Add the cucumber, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, fresh dill, garlic, and salt in a bowl and mix until combined.
  • Heat the pita bread on a griddle over medium heat for 5 minutes. Place it on a board and add a layer of lettuce, the chicken, two slices of tomato, two slices of cucumber, red onion, and the Arla Apetina® classic brine cubes. Fold it like a taco, cover with wax paper, and serve with the tzatziki sauce.
