  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cups ketchup, low in sugar
  • 1/4 cups chipotle chile in adobo sauce
  • 1/2 cups artificial sweetener
  • 1/4 cups honey
  • 2 tablespoons old style mustard
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, or English
  • 1/4 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 kilo chicken wings
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cups cornstarch
  • vegetable oil, for frying
  • vegetables, in sticks: carrot, jicama, and cucumber
  • dressing, low-calorie ranch
  • 1/4 cups whiskey

  • For the BBQ sauce, heat a small pot over medium heat with the butter, cook the garlic and add the low-calorie ketchup, the chipotle chili adobo, the sugar substitute, the honey, the mustard, the Worcestershire sauce, the vinegar, the whiskey, the cayenne pepper, the onion powder and cook until thickened. Season to your taste with salt and pepper and set aside.
  • In a bowl, season the chicken wings with salt and pepper, coat with flour and cornstarch, remove the excess and set aside.
  • Heat a deep pot with oil, fry the wings until they are well cooked, remove from the pot and place on absorbent paper to extract the excess fat.
  • In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce with the wings until they are well coated.
  • Serve the wings with vegetable sticks, accompany with low-calorie ranch dressing and enjoy.
