You won’t believe the flavor that pulque gives to the chicken; it’s spectacular. This recipe is a bit spicy but perfect for a family Sunday.

1 1/2 onions, sliced
3 cloves garlic
1 kilo tomato
6 baby nopales
800 milliliters chicken broth
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon cumin
ground black peppers
4 cups pulque
1 kilo chicken, in pieces

Sear the chicken pieces in a very hot pan with oil.
Add the sliced onion and garlic, diced tomato, and sliced nopales.
Pour in the cups of pulque, season with salt to taste, and add oregano, cumin, and pepper.
Once it comes to a boil, pour in the chicken broth, cover, and cook over medium heat. Serve in deep plates.
