Chicken Meatballs in Mushroom Sauce

Who doesn't love meatballs? I think it's even a fun way to introduce children to meats and chicken, but adults love them too.

  • 500 grams boneless chicken breast, minced
  • 1 onion
  • 125 grams button mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 200 milliliters white wine
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons sweet paprika, or spicy
  • 1 pinch thyme
  • 1 leaf bay
  • flour
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

  • In a pan, heat three tablespoons of olive oil and sauté the sliced onion and minced garlic. When the onion starts to become transparent, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté over medium heat for 5-6 minutes. Add the spicy paprika, stir well to prevent it from burning, and add a glass of white wine. Add the bay leaf and a pinch of thyme. Let the wine reduce over low heat.
  • While we prepare the meatballs, we place the minced chicken in a bowl, add the raw egg, one minced garlic clove, season with salt and pepper, add breadcrumbs and a teaspoon of spicy paprika, mix all the ingredients well and form chicken balls. Coat in flour and fry in a pan with olive oil. Place them on a dish with paper towels and add them to the pot with the sauce.
