Chicken Tinga Quesadillas

This chicken tinga quesadilla recipe is a delight and very easy to prepare, ideal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

  • chickens, prepared as tinga (see recipe)
  • 1/2 kilos masa dough, for tortillas
  • sour cream, necessary amount
  • cheeses, necessary amount
  • lettuce, chopped and disinfected
  • vegetable oil, necessary amount
  • water, or chicken broth to knead the dough
  • salsas, of your preference

  • With very clean hands, in a bowl, knead the dough by gradually adding water or broth until it has a good consistency (manageable) to make the tortillas.
  • Take a small ball of dough and flatten it to form the tortilla with your hands or using a tortilla press.
  • On one edge of the tortilla, add a tablespoon of chicken tinga and then fold it over, pressing the edges together so the filling doesn’t spill out.
  • In a skillet with enough oil, fry the quesadillas on both sides. Once golden brown, remove them from the oil and let them drain on a plate with absorbent paper. And they’re ready to serve!
