We present to you a delicious oven-roasted chicken seasoned with oil, lemon, and thyme. An easy chicken recipe that is very tasty and perfect for baking in the oven. The roast chicken with thyme is perfect for a family meal.
Place half of the lemon and half of an onion inside the cavity of the chicken. Squeeze the remaining lemon inside the cavity of the chicken.
Mix the oil, garlic, thyme, and paprika. Divide this oil into three parts; with one part, rub the cavity with this mixture. With your hands, separate the skin of the breast from the meat. Brush the meat with one part of the oil mixture.
Tie the chicken's legs with kitchen twine.
Place the chicken in a tray, breast side up. Pour the remaining oil over the chicken. Season with salt and pepper.
Bake at 230° C for 30 minutes. Reduce the heat to 200° C and cook for an additional 60 minutes.
Once cooked, remove from the oven. Pour the cooking juices into a pan. Cover the chicken with aluminum foil and let it rest for 10 minutes.
To the pan with the cooking juices, add the white wine, whisk, and gradually incorporate the flour. Cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
